This has much less customization and optimization than most free recording software, the framerate upon using this in game drops exponentially, It should only drop 5 or so frames but it usually drops 20 or more. This does seem to work better than Nvidia Shadowplay, however, this software tends to crash more. I bought this back when It cost five USD, now it costs $40? Honestly I wouldn't recommend this even if It were free, as their are many more, better free recording programs out there. Don't be me and use this for 68 hours before finding OBS.. This screen capturer NEVER WORKS! I'll record hour long videos only to find that they've VANISHED!! I would like to be able to say that this works and is a nice bit of software, but it really isn't.UPDATE: My videos now go to the proper files and it works wonderfully. At first, plawclaw 5 worked pretty well with maintaining the video footage while allowing me to play my games uninterrupted. For the past 2 weeks however it has just been skyrocketing downhill. No matter what tweaks I do that are recommended to me or how much research I do to solve the issue of absolute crappy capture doesn't work, even when I restore my original settings. I have a gaming PC that runs most recent games at 60 fps and when I try to capture using gameclaw, while my gameplay is still uninterrupted, the playback is choppy and clocks in at less than 10 fps. No. Just say no to this software.. Has done the job for me for a long time... I have had some intermittant issues from time to time, but your milage may vary. 10x better then Fraps by far.. So many video i have got from play claws but now the menu will not come up on my games! is their some sort of way i can press f12 and it will video again?with out the menu on the side ctrl L home does not bring it up in the game and does not disappear again if i hit them again.WATCH OUT FOR UPDATES THAT JUST WILL NOT WORK AGAIN. maybe i missed some thing again it said after the update.. Well, it's a very good product for best-quality recording. Of course it requires lots of disk space. However, the software usually crashes after long time records like 45-50+ minuntes. It has a feature for streaming but if you are new to the streaming stuff, don't use it, because it doesn't have much features so your viewers won't be able enjoy and software crushes again. I tried this software on different machines with different operating systems.TL;DR : AWESOME for short length videos for TOP QUALITY. Don't buy for long videos or quality live-streaming.. Does not work, DO NOT BUY. If you do you will end up with what feels like poo on your face.
